PhotoForUSA started because preparing a compliant green card or visa photo should not require a trip to a pharmacy or a monthly subscription. We built a fast, free, browser-based alternative.

Help anyone, anywhere, prepare a compliant U.S. immigration photo in under two minutes — for free. The premium background-removal feature exists to support the tool's development, not to lock basic functionality behind a paywall.
🔒 Privacy first
Your photo never leaves your device. Face detection, smart cropping, compliance checking, and AI background removal all run entirely inside your browser using WebAssembly and ONNX Runtime Web. No image is ever uploaded to our servers or any third-party server. We cannot see your photo — period.
⚙️ Technology
The tool uses MediaPipe for face landmark detection and the BRIA RMBG neural network (via @imgly/background-removal) for background segmentation. The site runs on Cloudflare Pages with no traditional backend — just edge functions for payment and verification. Payments are handled by Lemon Squeezy; we never see your card details.
